Job Summary


The position is located at 801 Kingsley Street, Winsted, MN 55395.
Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week when travel is not required.
35%-50% Domestic and international travel required.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. 

What you will do


As a Senior Process Engineer, you will: 
 

Apply special knowledge of our processing equipment, as well as advanced knowledge of our processing solutions to design and implement process solutions for pre-projects and projects team. Support projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation. Work in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project. Act with full responsibility for technical solution and quality aspects of project performance, while securing project management buy in and being aligned with a focus on customer needs and satisfaction. Work in close cooperation with the plant integration team in each of the Project Centers. Work with customers and colleagues in an international environment, through collaboration and utilization of resources from throughout the entire organization. Conduct and support quotation development in conjunction with the project manager and account managers for systems and modules. Estimate equipment costs and source and price equipment and services in coordination with the project manager. Provide sales support by giving technical presentations. Work with planning and structure, utilizing resources, driving and follow-up, and meeting deadlines and objectives. Use MS Project, Plant Engineering, problem solving, cross functional, thermodynamics, flow dynamics, and production planning as it relates directly to the sizing of equipment and system solutions. Utilize industry standards for process piping, equipment and installation of automation control applications, instrumentation applications, startup and commissioning of systems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

We believe you have


Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of experience in sanitary food process design.


Must also have experience in:
 

  • Developing mass and energy balances to meet customer requirements for food processing plant design;
  • Developing process timing schedules to specify and size processing plant equipment ensuring customer requirements throughout and operating parameters are achieved;
  • Developing process and instrument diagrams (P&IDS);
  • Developing processing plant layouts in AutoCAD program;
  • Developing process design solutions to meet customer requirements and adhere to sanitary design requirements;
  • Commissioning of a food processing plant; and
  • Leading projects including mentoring junior engineers.
