Project Manager


As a Project Manager within the PSE Processing Food Solutions, Business Stream Cheese, you are responsible for managing technically complex projects within the framework of the budget, time schedule, quality and scope - contributing to the overall sales result and customer satisfaction. You will work with colleagues from Tetra Pak Processing Systems to deliver projects to our customers, collaborate intensely with our market companies and ensure customer satisfaction.
This position is based either in the Greater Minneapolis, MN area or Greater Madison, WI area.
You will be travelling up to 25 % of your time.

What you will do


As a Project Manager you will: 


  • Be responsible for project execution and providing project leadership to deliver project result
  • Secure project deliverables according to project agreement (the contract) and act according to responsibilities set out in the project charter
  • Develop overall project time schedule and fulfil the project milestones, deliverables and budget in time and in full
  • Drive productivity within the project through utilization of local and global resources, reusable solutions, processes, and tools (Order Fulfilment Capital Equipment (OFCE), project governance, risk management etc.)
  • Plan, monitor, forecast and report project budgets in SAP
  • Arrange and lead project team meetings
  • Assess work progress and status
  • Analyze project progress and cost
  • Report project progress and escalate to management team as needed
  • Manage scope changes, develop variation order quotations and issue variation orders
  • Control project scope, cost, schedule, risks and quality 
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Secure project communication and documentation according to project communication plan
  • Have intensive communication with production sites to follow up the manufacturing progress of branded processing units
  • Arrange & Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning and performance validation work as needed
  • Provide issue management as needed in the project 
  • Secure lessons learned feedback, participate in internal improvement projects
  • Participate in pre-order activities as needed

We believe you have


  • B.Sc. in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical Engineering) or related equivalent experience
  • Preferably a PMP certification or must have the desire to obtain PMP
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in project management or equivalent work experience with similar corporate background
  • Good technical and commercial understanding
  • Experience within Cheese making technology, Food, Pharmacuitical industries desired 
  • Detail orientation, result orientation and costumer focus with good understanding of complex technical solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a teamplayer
  • Good computer literacy, MS Project, SAP
  • Fluency in English
