Job Summary
We are looking for an expert who will work independently in project and/or pre-project teams within Project Centres. You will be an individual contributor who will lead larger projects and leading a team of process engineers to accomplish the required tasks, also take technical decisions.
The position is based in Winsted, MN.
You will be travelling up to 35% of your time to our customer sites.
What you will do
As a Process Engineering Project Leader you will:
- Provide technical support to pre-projects with respect to Process Engineering.
- Responsible for technical solutions larger projects.
- Provide support in issue and claim resolution including root cause analysis projects.
- Technical discussions with customer and or end suppliers.
- Validate/ review technical solutions projects
- Act as differentiators between counterparties or other competition projects
- Mentor/trainer for Process Engineers.
- Lead projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation.
- Working in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project.
- Working in close cooperation with Plant Integration team in each of the market companies.
- Working with customers and colleagues in an international environment, but also utilize and collaborate with resources throughout the entire organization.
- Conduct / support quotation development in conjunction with the project manager and account managers for systems/modules.
- Estimate equipment costs. Source and price equipment/services in coordination with the project manager.
- Provide sales support by giving technical presentations
- Understanding and utilization of Plant Integration business process, organization, task, cost and quality.
- Planning and structure, Utilizing Resources, Driving & follow-up, Meeting deadlines and objectives.
- Regulatory experience/awareness with CFIA, APPS, TSSA, 3A, CSA, FDA, OSHA, etc.
We believe you have
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Food Science Engineering or Bioproducts Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Process Engineering area.
- Experience in food & dairy system design a plus.
- Proficient with MSOffice (MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) AutoCAD
- Process Design knowledge required.
- Ability to read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID) required.
- Ability to lead without authority, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, Excellent people, communication, presentation skills, ability to plan, delegate, and multi-task and quality-focused.
