Planning Manager
We are looking for a Planning Manager, who will be responsible for the local master production schedules and inventory strategy and implementation in our factory in Winsted, MN. This position leads a small team and reports to the Production Centre Director in Winsted.
The position is based in our Winsted, MN location.
What you will do
As a Planning Manager, you will:
- Drive handling of orders according to OFCE (Order Fulfilment Capital Equipment) process with committed quality, lead-time, delivery accuracy and cost
- Lead strategic make/buy process including optimize inventory levels on a regular basis
- Lead strategic planning of translation of E-Bom into M-Bom (E – Engineering, M – Material)
- Responsible for evaluation and translation of global manufacturing footprint strategy, global master production schedule and global inventory strategy into local master production schedules and inventory strategy, making necessary adjustments and determine their effect on production plans.
- Ensure local Supply Planning Master Data (Internal & External) is aligned with global supply planning and. Ensure accuracy in ERP as well as drive MRP.
- Ensure seamless and transparent cooperation with Business Unit and/or SCI ( Supply Chain Integration) for continuous improvement of order flows
- Lead WCM, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement in line with WCM principles
We believe you have
- Must be familiar with the SO&P (Sales & Operational Planning) process and with managing forecast sets in a ERP system.
- Experience with ERP system and MRP II
- Collaborative problem solving as well as strong communication skills
- Analytical skills and ability to make data-based decisions
- Technical manufacturing background preferred
- Ideally detailed knowledge of manufacturing methods and planning, master production scheduling, inventory control, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning shop floor control and warehousing.
- Team player, productivity, quality focus, self-motivated, structured, time management, and attention to detail.
