Job Summary


The ideal candidate will get the opportunity to design process modules and lines in our food category cheese.  You will have the possibility to follow the process from order intake to the delivering of the finished product. At Business Unit Cheese - US we work with process solutions that are unique to every customer and product. Therefore you will get variation as well as challenges in your daily work. With a suitable candidate, we see this position to be able to grow in the mechanical engineering area. We are open minded, self motivated, flexible and stretching in competitive situations. The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
The position is based in Winsted, MN.
You will be required to travel 10% of your time.

What you will do


As a Mechanical Engineer you will: 
 

  • Work in a team that is responsible for the mechanical design in customer orders throughout the whole order process.
  • Make 3D models in Inventor.
  • Extract 2D drawings that will be used during manufacturing.
  • Extract own-design material, OEM component, piping and fitting lists that will be used as a BOM for purchasing and manufacturing.
  • Creation of lifting/rigging documentation for equipment transportation to customer sites
  • Assist with documentation creation for maintenance and spare part identification
  • Work with the assemblers/fabricators in the workshop if any questions arise
  • Execution of FAT testing to ensure the equipment meets Tetra Pak and customer requirements
  • Communicate with order owners on project status and activities
  • Work with supply management and directly with vendors regarding component and material builds

We believe you have

 

  • Recently completed your studies in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial), and you are interested in taking your career to the next level these opportunities are for you.  
  • Internship experience and/or < 1 year of job experience is ideal
  • CAD 3D modeling skills is a must.  Experience with Inventor ideal
  • Basic knowledge about machine tools
  • Basic knowledge regard metal fabrication techniques and methods  
  • Have availability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Service-minded.
  • Ability to multitask even in stressful situations.
  • Familiarization with Hygienic design, Good Manufacturing Practices, PMO as a plus.
