Job Summary
We are now looking a Buyer to be responsible for purchasing activities involving production materials, components and equipment needed for delivery projects and company operations. This involves activities from purchasing from released purchase requisitions to entering and verifying purchase order acknowledgements, including control of deliveries within projects.
You will be based in Winsted, MN
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Buyer you will:
- Process purchase orders and monitor fulfillment based and project requirements.
- Send drawing and specifications to suppliers and collaborate with engineers on questions that may arise
- Obtain quotations and perform bid analysis
- Process supplier claims
- Provide estimators and engineers with supplier quotes and lead-times as required
- Participate in project review meetings
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
We believe you have
- A bachelor’s degree completed
- At least 5 years’ experience of procurement experience
- Must have experience working with an ERP, strongly desirable to have experience with SAP R3
- Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP manufacturing systems
- Strong analytical and critical skills
- Strong proficiency with data analysis and prior experience with fabricators and mechanical components
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload
- Great negotiation and communication skills
