Job Summary


We are now looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving the growth and success of the company’s New Food-related bioprocess solutions. This role involves a combination of strategic planning, market analysis, sales, and relationship management. 
The Business Development Manager is a pivotal position that requires a blend of strategic thinking, sales acumen, and industry knowledge to drive the growth and success of Tetra Pak business. You will not only work with our existing lead pipeline but also map, identify, prioritize, and pursue business opportunities with players in the New Food space securing our future business pipeline. In this position, you will actively participate in the creation of the go to market account plan for strategic initiatives aligned with Tetra Pak marketing, portfolio, and customer business objectives. Collaboration will be key, not only with your immediate team, but with cross-functional areas, especially with Processing Sales responsible teams in the Market, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
You can be based in any of our offices in Denton, TX, Vernon Hills, IL or Winsted, MN, USA
You will be travelling up to 75% of your time to our customer sites.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require international relocation to the United States.

What you will do


As a Business Development Manager, you will:
 

  • Market Research and Analysis
     
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, bioprocess solutions needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze data to identify opportunities for processing solutions under new food applications.
    • Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies that could impact the new food space.
       
  • Strategic Planning
     
    • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets, being the responsible to drive the “go to market” strategy targeting key players (prospects or existing Tetra Pak customers) within the New Food Category.
    • Identify potential channels, and partners to seed and expand the company’s business in New Food.
    • Set short-term and long-term goals, and create action plans to achieve them, including the engagement of both internal and external stakeholders.
       
  • Product Development and Innovation
     
    • Provide insights and feedback on bioprocess solution concepts, ensuring they align with both market needs and business goals.
    • Oversee product launches and ensure successful market entry.
       
  • Sales and Revenue Growth
     
    • Establish relationships with prospects and existing customers at early stage of CAPEX study, paving the way to future sales opportunities.
    • Monitor Tetra Pak and respective competitors’ sales performance, envisioning adjustments on the business strategy.
    • Develop loyalty initiatives along with the Market Sales Team to retain and grow the customer base.
    • Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, sales performance, and market feedback. 
    • Use data analytics to measure the success of strategies and make data-driven decisions.
       
  • Partnerships and Networking
     
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company’s offerings.
    • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships that can enhance the company’s market position.
       
  • Regulatory and Compliance Awareness
     
    • Stay informed about the industry regulations and ensure to also influence the relevant laws and standards that are yet not fully defined or established.
       

We believe you have

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, biotechnology or an engineering field. 
  • At least 8 years of solutions-based or value-based sales experience as well as good understanding of bioprocesses applied to food production.
  • A strong hunter mentality with a focus to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Confident, resilient, and clear communication skills with energy and drive.
  • A strong presence, prepared to be accountable and have a strong disciplined work ethic. 
  • Demonstrable ability to strategically target prospects of all sizes, build strong pipelines and win business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deeper understanding of the investments and acquisitions, new ventures, and strategic partnerships in the New Food space in the US market.
