Future Talent – Applications Engineer

This position will be based in Vernon Hills, IL.

 

You would be required to travel up to 25% of your time.

 

The start date for Future Talent Program will be the July 14, 2025.

What you will do

 

As our Future Talent – Applications Engineer, you will become an expert in technically sizing, configuring and quoting of heat exchangers based on application and technical requirements.

 

As a Future Talent – Applications Engineer, you will: 

 

  • Become an expert on Tetra Pak Processing Equipment to be used within food applications. 
  • Design, size, configure, validate and quote heat exchangers based on technical specifications. 
  • Understand customer needs, define performance, calculate flow rates.
  • Work with different teams, supporting Sales & Marketing and Process Engineering. 
  • Advise Tetra Pak Business Unit(s) and Services organization on current orders, project timelines such as shipping, start-up/commissioning and specific technical subjects during the warranty period.
  • Interact with customers 

We believe you have

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Food Science or other relevant engineering degrees.
  • Ideally first experience with Mechanical Design.
  • An interest in thermodynamics, mass transfer, heat and momentum transfer and chemical reactions.
  • Interest in being involved in design, calculations, simulations and equipment specifications
  • Passion for excellence
  • Good communication, collaboration and presentation skills
