Job Summary


The position is located at 600 Bunker Court, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.
Telecommuting is allowed up to four days a week, except when on assignment at customer locations.
25-30% domestic travel required.  
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

 

What you will do


As a Functional Engineering Project Leader, you will: 
 

Responsible for overall project functionality including system functionality, process functional specification, related cost monitoring, project planning, and coordination. Plan, control, and follow up on economy, resources, time, and quality from order to customer takeover, following our environmental and quality management system. Lead implementation of reusable solutions on projects, specifically guiding in Smart Solutions Platform (SSP). Work with the technical project leader to incorporate system functionality, simulation, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), and commissioning tests into overall project plan. Lead process functional specification development, often instructing junior functional engineers, engineers from other markets, or engineers from other disciplines in functional work. Work as technical project leader on mid-sized projects. Lead simulation tests and customer FAT. Lead functional tests during commissioning and/or work as site lead. 
 

We believe you have


Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related, and 8 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry or related.


Must also have experience with:
 

1.    Engineering project design, testing, and implementation;
2.    Writing, interpreting, and test processing of functional specifications at a high level of accuracy and efficiency;
3.    Commissioning of food manufacturing systems including Separators, Pasteurizers, High Shear Mixing tanks, and CIP systems; and
4.    Creating project schedules for design work, testing, and commissioning.
