Job Summary


We are looking for a professional, who will work in projects teams within US and Canada, for projects from low to high complexity. You will be responsible for developing and delivering process functional specifications that meet the needs of Tetra Pak’s customers. This position will be in contact with many different areas within Tetra Pak and will need to work with the process team, automation team, and project management in order to deliver customer solutions.
The position is based in Vernon Hills, IL.
You may be required to travel 25% of your time 
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. 

 

What you will do


As a Functional Engineer you will: 
 

  • Develop technical documentation for projects focused on plant functionalities.
  • Lead internal tests and support Factory Acceptance Tests with customer.
  • Help maintain and update North American reusable solutions.
  • Participate in simulation, startup, and commissioning of systems/modules.
  • Develop technical solutions in projects, provide support in problem solving, participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
  • Validate and revise technical solutions for engineering parts in Tetra Pak projects.

We believe you have

 

  • University Degree in Food or Chemical or Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in related fields
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience in project design, quotation and/or implementation.
