Job Summary

 

The position is located at 600 Bunker Court, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.
Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week.
35% Domestic and international travel.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. 

 

What you will do


As an Automation Project Leader, you will:


Build various automation systems specifically customized as per our customers’ needs. Develop and track Tetra Pak project programs and engineering resource requirements including design, installation, and commissioning tasks. Report to the Project Manager for project and program related tasks including budget control, progress reports, and forecasting. Interface with Account Managers and customers to assess the customers’ requirements and thereby creating cost effective quotations. Analyze, design, develop, and implement automation solutions including database reports such as HMI and PLC programs to meet Tetra Pak project requirements. Configure Tetra Pak control systems including PLC and HMI/SCADA systems. Finalize Tetra Pak automation options such as distributed I/O and/or control field bus networks. Design, test, and configure control panels, motor control centers, ethernet networks, ASI networks, and pneumatic circuits for Tetra Pak automation systems. Assist with and support the development of electrical single line diagrams and schematics. Configure valve tops, variable frequency drives, and motor starters for Tetra Pak food processing automation systems. Ensure all Tetra Pak automation designs are implemented and utilized in compliance with industry-wide standards, client standards, and any other regulatory requirements. Participate in design reviews and safety risk assessments of Tetra Pak automation systems. Manage automation activities on site during installation, commissioning, and performance testing phases. Handle commissioning of Tetra Pak food processing automation systems and conduct automation training for customer personnel on the installed Tetra Pak systems. 

We believe you have

 

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of experience in automation systems in processing areas. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of experience in automation systems in processing areas.

 

Must also have work experience in:

 

1.    Project design and execution (covering areas like automation, instrumentation and electrical);
2.    Operational technologies including Programmable Logic Controllers, Rockwell, Siemens, and Beckhoff;
3.    Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Wondeware, Human Machine Interfaces, including B&R, and Beijer;
4.    Equipment and devices used in the Food and Beverage industry including Endress and Hauser;
5.    Reducing operational cost of equipment by combining food processing with Artificial intelligence, Data Analytics, Databases, reports;
6.    Utilizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution to customize the platform to fit customer demands;
7.    Creating customized solutions for Food and Beverage market, delivering production reports, production tracking, production execution, production analysis, production dispatching, production orders, and laboratory data; and
8.    Deploying automation solutions for dairy, beverage, prepared food, and ice cream industries.

Pay Equity

 

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include overtime, annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances. 

 
•    Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $133,973.00 to $137,973.00.
•    Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
