Job Summary

 

Production Supervisor 

 

As Production Supervisor you will be responsible for directing and coordinating all shift activities to optimize quality, efficiency, customer commitment and safety throughout the facility.  You will supervise shift personnel and their associated functions, provide leadership, vision and direction to employees, build morale and drive towards the achievement of production goals and targets.  You will help drive performance improvements through the Continuous Improvement / World Class Manufacturing process and implement improvement measures through loss reduction.

 

This position reports to the Production Manager.

 

This position is based in Vancouver, WA.

 

Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.

 

Shift schedule

 

5 days a week from Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (nighttime: 11PM - 7AM). 

What you will do

 

As Production Supervisor, you will:

 

  • Supervise 25-30 hourly employees on shift as needed.
  • Set priorities with Support staff (Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Logistics) for the different production lines to meet costumer commitments.
  • Serve as first line manager to employees, including performance management, training, time keeping and conflict resolution.
  • Drive and support AM/PM (Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance) activities. Work with AM/PM pillar leaders to excel AM/PM methodology throughout the factory. Audit 5S and CIL’s (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) effectiveness for your designated shift.
  • Make ongoing decisions regarding resource allocation (machinery, materials and human resources) to meet production and costumer demands.
  • Support OHS (Organization Health and Safety) in the factory, including layered safety audits, tracking and documenting safety tags and observations.
  • Support continuous improvement teams and training. Lead improvement teams as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a similar area of study is preferred or related experience
  • 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Industry in similar position.
  • 2 or more years of proven experience in Continuous Improvement Processes and World-Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools and methodologies.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and the P2 Production system is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with offset printing and prepress is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great leadership skills

Pay Equity

 

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances. 

 

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $86,700 - $123,700 
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
