Logistics Manager

 

We are now looking for a Logistics Manager to lead the factory logistics team, develop capabilities and manage back-up and succession. In this role, you will be responsible of attending daily internal production meeting to align with factory management, ensure logistics process compliance in the factory, and drive the expansion of World Class Manufacturing to attack logistic losses.
The position is based in Vancouver WA, USA.

What you will do

 

  • Lead the daily logistics operations and Logistics KPI’s on safety, compliance, service, cost & quality
  • Ensure quality and efficiency in the loading & unloading operations
  • Administer and manage documentation for all goods in/out of factory incl. export and import management for BM/PM/AM (Base Materials/Packaging Materials/Additional Materials), scrap, claimed and packing materials.
  • Lead inventory counting on established frequencies and at year end with external auditors.
  • Secure and promote safety culture in logistic operations and areas under the scope.
  • Support carrier management together with Regional Planning Hub and Supply Chain Control Tower.
  • Drive logistics optimization and Lean flow in the factory, internal logistics and warehouses
  • Lead factory activities for PM BCP (Packaging Materials Business Continuity Plan) and manage the exceptional cases (material shortages, order changes, order delays due to production disturbance, etc.)
  • Manage leased equipment for material handling.
  • Support actions/decision from Sales and Operations Planning process (planning, production reallocation or long-term inventory controls, etc.)

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or similar engineering.
  • 5 years of experience leading a Logistics department for a manufacturing facility. 
  • Good people management and coaching skills
  • Good understanding of factory production processes and product portfolio. 
  • Strong WCM (continuous improvement) knowledge, methodology and practice. 
  • Good general supply chain knowledge, including financial implications of decisions. 
  • Good knowledge of process and tools in logistics and planning
  • Good SAP/R3 knowledge on logistics related functions

 

Pay Equity

 

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances. 

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $105,000 and 135,000  
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
