Internship Program 2027

The Tetra Pak Internship Program is your pass to the professional world, offering you hands-on experience and valuable networking opportunities. You will experience real situations in the corporate world and develop on a personal and professional level. Upon joining our team, you will have the support of a network of colleagues and will be instructed and evaluated by a mentor, who will guide and accompany you in your day-to-day activities. In addition, we have an onboarding program designed to better prepare you to put your full potential into action.

 

This position is based in Vancouver, WA.

 

Salary Range: $22-$25 / hour

 

Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas, relocation, or housing for these positions.

What you will do

Duration: Short-term (May 31, 2027 - November 19, 2027) Full-time until mid-August, then part-time max. 20 hours/week

 

As a Engineering and Maintenance Intern, you will:

 

  • Assist with engineering, capital investment, and continuous improvement projects across the facility.
  • Support project teams by gathering data, tracking progress, and helping implement process improvements.
  • Gain hands-on experience creating and updating component designs using 2D and 3D CAD software.Assist in developing technical drawings, models, and design documentation.
  • Participate in problem-solving activities to identify opportunities for improving processes, equipment, and product quality.
  • Support root cause analysis investigations by collecting data, analyzing findings, and contributing to corrective action recommendations.Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on real-world manufacturing and operational challenges.
  • Build practical engineering skills while contributing to projects that drive efficiency, safety, and performance improvements.

 

You will gain hands-on experience supporting planned maintenance activities and investment projects across our Vancouver manufacturing facility.

  • Work alongside experienced maintenance, fabrication, and machining professionals on real-world projects.
  • Gain exposure to the planning and execution of equipment upgrades, capital investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Access our machine shop and learn from skilled fabricators and machinists in a manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, Logistics, and Safety, to support operational goals.
  • Participate in projects that improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
  • Build practical engineering and project management skills while contributing to meaningful business initiatives.
  • Experience how different departments work together to support a world-class manufacturing operation.

 

Suggested majors: Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical and/or Industrial Engineering

We believe you have

.

  • Current enrollment in college, ideally in your last two (2) years of college, and you are interested in taking your career to the next level.
  • Very good knowledge of AutoCAD/Solidworks (or equivalent CAD software) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel in particular)
