Job Summary

The Functional Engineer has the main goal of building and developing the functional part of the processing project in SkyNet, with input from the process engineering team in the form of a functional specification and creating the starting platform for the automation development by the automation engineering team.

Additional responsibilities also include but is not limited to supporting the development of the engineering efficiency tools and processes, including but not limited to SSP / Plant 3D, Functional Block Diagram, and SkyNet tool.

 

This position combines rare skill sets and cross-disciplines, including but not limited to: Solution design concepts, automation, process engineering, functional descriptions, Tetra Plant Master and food processing solutions as well as updating and developing local design concepts.

What you will do

    • Performs engineering functions such as quality control and engineering efficiency tools (i.e. SSP, FBD, Reusable solutions, SkyNet), development/maintaining/support/roll-out.
    • Provides guidance, advise to process and automation engineering team as an advanced user of SkyNet and process reusable solutions.
    • Support the in the global development and rollout of process Functional specification efficiency tool, SkyNet and reusable design concepts, including guidance and supervision.
    • Support in the preparation of basic and advanced Reusable Solutions and SkyNet training and support.
    • Conduct process training for internal automation and process engineers as well as customer personnel on process and systems.
    • Executes startup and commissioning of systems/modules in conjunction with Automation Engineer.
    • Collaborate with account managers and customers to assess customer requirements and thereby create cost effective quotations.
    • Coordinates process design with fabrication suppliers and analyze and assess quality control.
    • Provides ongoing customer support & troubleshooting as necessary

  • University degree within Automation, Process Engineering or similar within Dairy technology
  • Knowledge and experience of Process Descriptions
  • A good command of English, both written and oral is required
  • Result oriented approach, with aim for improvement
  • Ability to look at a problem from more sides and discover the simple solutions that others might not catch.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm on the job,
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Driving license B
