Electrical Engineer

You will be traveling 30-40% of your time to customer sites in the Benelux as well as France, UK, Ireland, North Europe.

The purpose and responsibility of the role as Electrical Engineer is to implement Automation Projects and Upgrades. This is a permanent position and you will be based in Utrecht, Netherlands or Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium and work in a hybrid office. You will report to the Team Leader of Automation and Electrical Engineering.

What you will do

As Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Agreeing project specifications, budgets and timescales with clients and colleagues.
• Report to the Project Manager for project & program related tasks including budget control, progress reports & forecasting.
• Interface with account managers and customers to assess the customer requirements and thereby create cost effective quotations.
• Evaluate Electrical Contractor quotations.
• Pre-project calculations and create Electrical RFQ documentation.
• Overseeing the design and manufacture of control panels and the overall electrical installation.
• Maintaining project documentation and records.
• Participate in design reviews and safety risk assessments.
• Automation Hardware Design.
• Evaluate SIL/PL level designs of safety functions & E-stop systems.
• Help breakdown and plan the project into phases and fulfil the plan and project milestones on time and in full according to budget.
• Understanding of ATEX and ability to competently specify electrical equipment.

We believe you have

• Bachelor’s degree qualification or relevant knowledge and experience of automation solutions, electrical engineering and process control.
• At least 4 years of experience with processing area automation systems required.
• Commercial awareness.
• Previous experience in the food or dairy industry is an advantage.
• Working experience with Microsoft Office required.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to plan, delegate, and multi-task.
• High Quality-focus.
• Strong, positive oral & written communication skills both internally & with customers.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken is a must / French is an advantage.
• Driving licence.
