Services Sales Specialist – Cheese & Powder Systems


The services we provide to our customers are pivotal to their operational success. You are the key.
We are now seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Services Sales Specialist – Cheese & Powder Systems, as part of the Tetra Pak Services Sales Team, to manage and develop focused sales areas, and customer relationships from a Tetra Pak Services perspective. In this position, you will be the key point of contact for the customer, not only looking to ensure that their operational issues are resolved in a timely manner but identifying their needs and delivering solutions to drive mutual growth. 
You will work with our customers in the Food & Beverage industry and look for opportunities inside and outside our existing customer base to sell our Services Portfolio and grow our Market. 
Ideally your work base would be in the North East or the Great Lakes area, ideally close to our offices in either Vernon Hills, IL or Winsted, MN. We also consider a home-based approach for the right candidate.
You will be travelling about up to 75% of your time to our customer sites. 

Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.  

What you will do


As a Services Sales Specialist - Cheese & Powder Systems you will:


  • Be primary Market Area Services Sales point of contact with Tetra Pak Business Unit – CPS (Cheese & Powder Systems)
  • Participate in translation of global/cluster objectives related to three-year forecasting and planning into Market Area deliverable.    
  • Lead creation, implementation and follow up of sales and business strategy for given area of responsibility or application
  • Lead understanding of customer needs through proactive continuous customer diagnosis and analysis
  • Lead opportunity management, cross selling and up selling and fact-based value proposal, negotiate and close deals
  • Lead growth of profitable service contracts 
  • Participate in creation, implementation and follow up of sales in plans for Key Accounts in collaboration with S-KAM
  • Lead creation service business plans in collaboration with portfolio, SAR and SSE
  • Lead services dimension in project lifecycle management to ensure new equipment is effectively handed over to services.
  • Participate in follow-up value delivered, customer satisfaction and profitability on service business with customer and internally
  • Participate resolution of technical issues by being responsible for communication with customer and issue driver
  • Lead creation of quality plans and participate in implementation and follow-up of targets

Who you are


We believe you have:


  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience is required, an Engineering major is highly preferred
  • A blend of at least 3 years of technical business development/sales/account management or other customer facing experience is required
  • Ability to dive deeply into technical issues to solve problems in collaboration with our internal quality and technical teams, as well as our customers
  • Self-Driven attitude and the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong hunting mentality with a focus to uncover new business opportunities
  • Consultative and clear communication skills with energy and drive
  • Demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships and close deals
  • Quick learning as well as and strong presentation skills
  • Self-drive and the ability to work autonomously
