Account Manager

We are now seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Account Manager to develop and drive the execution of the strategic and operational account plans in the Carton Gable Top (CGT) category aligned to Tetra Pak and the customer's business objectives. In this position, you will be a key point of contact for the customer, looking to ensure that their issues are resolved in a timely manner, and accepted by them. By ensuring that the relevant Tetra Pak portfolio is deployed in full, you will drive sales of our full portfolio by meeting competitive requirements and delivering a strong value proposition. You will build strong customer relationships and achieve sustainable growth by identifying and capturing short, medium and long-term business opportunities.
You can be home based anywhere in the US.
You will be travelling up to 75% of your time to our customer sites.

What you will do

 

As an Account Manager you will:

 

  • Manage customer accounts in the US and Canada.
  • Account Management: Together with the customer, drive the development and execution of the account plan. Agree on shared objectives and targets with the customer. 
  • Drive mutual sustainable growth.
  • Relationship Management: Drive improved understanding of the customer and overall business across the value chain. Identify customer needs and drive opportunities in line with Tetra Pak’s global business strategy, category, portfolio, processing and Tetra Pak Services plans.
  • Sales Forecasting (Capital Equipment and Packaging Material): Secure accurate Sales Forecasting for the assigned accounts. Ensure that the account receivable expectations are met.
  • Value Selling: Drive execution of sales targets for packaging solutions and processing. Manage the opportunity pipeline.
  • Coordinate cross functional activities: Ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely manner, and subsequently accepted by the customer.
  • Portfolio Deployment: Ensure that the relevant Tetra Pak portfolio is deployed and delivers a strong value proposition.
  • Trouble shoot potential customer problem with the equipment, initiate and follow up on Root Cause Analysis.
     

Who you are

 

We believe you have: 

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in an Engineering field
  • At least five years of experience, two of which should be in a Sales or Account Management/Business Development role
  • Ideally experience with similar equipment in the Dairy or packaging industry
  • The ability to deal naturally with challenging stakeholders and to work cross-functionally in a seamless fashion
  • Demonstrable skills in Value Selling, Account Management, quotations, contract negotiation
  • Strong customer focus
  • Great problem solving and communication skills
  • Strategic agility
  • Great MS office skills (esp. Excel, ppt)
  • An ability to multitask and prioritize
