Job Summary
We are looking for a Service Engineer, who will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and service works, troubleshooting on Tetra Pak system as A3/Speed, A3/Flex and Speed DEs. Able to connect on Rockwell PLCs for fault finding and Analyse PLMS data to keep up machine’s performances.
A typical day would see you travel from the Rolleston office to our customers sites to complete service work. Or you could be based on location as a dedicated site engineer. Occasionally you may be a required to stay away from home over night, to be close to a customer site.
The role will require flexibility to work some shifts and travel to customer sites as necessary.
This position is based in the South Island New Zealand and can be located in either Rolleston or Timaru.
What you will do
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on equipment
- Troubleshoot and adjust control systems
- Support equipment installation and assembly when needed
- Install rebuild and upgrade kits
- Lead Level 1 and 2 capital equipment installations on-site
- Report technical issues promptly to relevant teams
- Represent Tetra Pak professionally, maintaining strong customer relationships
- Follow all safety, quality, and food safety standards; escalate any concerns
- Complete required reports and stay updated on technical documentation
- Provide training to customers
- Achieve KPIs related to productivity, customer satisfaction, and maintenance sales growth
We believe you have
- Trade or Uni Certification.
- Proven experience in maintenance and/or repair work.
- A professional approach to your duties, and take responsibility for service delivery.
- A willingness to learn & an interest to forge a challenging career in service delivery.
- Self motivation with a ‘can do’ attitude when taking on day-to-day challenges.
- The ability to coach & mentor more junior colleagues, when needed.
- Experience and working knowledge of service engineering in the Dairy Industry.
- We will consider Food manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience in customer facing discussions & leading teams would be an advantage.
