Pre-Sales Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the budget of the projects, process design and configuration for Powder Handling solutions for Asian clientele
  • Conduct assessment of customer requirements and create solid technical solutions
  • Design and draft the process flow diagram for powder handling solutions
  • Visit customers to clarify technical requirements
  • Communicate with project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with sales team to create customer proposals and RFQs

Project Support

  • Collect all the project information from the Sales Managers, from Tetra Pak group and from the customers; confirm and document them in Design criteria
  • Establish strong team work with Sales Managers
  • Review URS and other customer specifications documents
  • Elaborate the technical solution:
    • Set the process and find innovating solutions
    • Set the flowchart (process block diagram, flow sheet)
    • Produce calculation sheets for process solutions (explosion panels, pneumatic conveying systems, etc)
    • Built the production time chart if required
  • Quote the solution, using Tetra Pak’s internal software
  • When non standard equipments and services are required, write specifications and contact suppliers to get quotations
  • Take the lead to write the Sales contract (Exhibits), following the status of the project
  • Update the quotation along the offer life further to technical or customer modifications; particularly after receiving customer PO
  • Set up meeting reviews and document them :
    • URS review: write the deviation list in coordination with the Sales Manager and project stakeholders
    • Design reviews: check the solution with the Process engineers and document the review
    • Quotation reviews: check the quotation and the Exhibits with the Pre-Sales Department Manager
    • Final reviews (Design and Quotation): check the offer before submitting the firm quotation to the customer
  • Achieve risk analysis and performance description required during Pre-sales process
  • Participate to Projects governance, to update Management about the projects
  • Prepare the documents for the project internal kick off meeting
  • Align with standard process in Pre-Sales Department
  • Keep in contact with the PM during the project life
  • Collect and classify the technical information and suppliers quotations; complete and update the Asian prices list

Qualification

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is a must (required to perform cross-border efforts with regional stakeholders)
  • Proven success in people management
  • Prior experience in Asia Pacific is advantageous
  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Physics, or other related field of study
  • 3+ years experience with Powder Handling technology in an Engineering role, Technical knowhow Powder Handling technology is a MUST.
  • Prior experience with sales and pre-sales activities strongly preferred
  • Travelling is expected at estimated 20% to South-East Asia, China and Oceania.
