Job Summary
Automation Engineer – Operational Technology
This role is a blend of IT security and industrial automation engineering. You will take the role of Operational Technology Officer for the full factory, leading industrial automation upgrades and installation projects. You will perform troubleshooting on complex automation, robotics and integrated systems in our manufacturing site, working independently as well as coordinating support technicians.
This position qualifies for overtime.
Shift schedule: 7:30PM - 7:30AM (4 days on / 4 days off)
This position is based in Sikeston, Missouri.
Tetra Pak is considering internal applicants who require International relocation to the United States.
Tetra Pak is sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As Automation Engineer – Operational Technology, you will:
- Reduce automation breakdowns and time to repair through systematic troubleshooting.
- Coordinate internal and/or external resources supporting equipment breakdowns related to automation.
- Ensure OT Security compliance aligned with corporate standards.
- Drive project execution following Early Management methodology for automation upgrades and installation projects.
- Update and maintain automation documentation of the installed base.
- Document troubleshooting guides and train Shift Technicians.
- Participate in the WCM PM Pillar (World Class Manufacturing - Preventive Maintenance Pillar) and apply kaizen principles to problem solving and breakdown prevention.
We believe you have
- A Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent training and experience in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronic or Robotics or any related field, or an Automation Technical Training Background.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Operational Technology Security (OT Security), Industrial Control System Security (ICS Security), or Industrial Cybersecurity
- Knowledge of automated and robotic manufacturing systems, troubleshooting and programming.
- Knowledge of Electrical drives and servomotors.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, AC/DC drives, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
