Job Summary

Patent attorney prosecuting CN applications for Tetra Pak’s global patent families and the Tetra Pak R&D Centre in China 

What you will do

  • Filing and prosecuting all CN patent applications before the CNIPO protecting Tetra Pak’s innovation portfolio across several technical fields

  • Providing IP legal support to the Tetra Pak R&D centre in Shanghai

  • Rendering FTO opinions

  • Supporting project teams during the product creation process including FTO risk mitigation

  • Monitoring third-party patent and utility model publication in CN

  • Supporting CN nullity proceedings in CN

  • Closely collaborating with the Legal Affairs colleagues in CN and globally

  • Providing IPR training to the R&D and commercial colleagues

We believe you have

  • 2-4 years post-qualification experience as patent attorney in CN

  • Experience prosecuting patent applications before the CNIPO, either in a law firm or a full-service inhouse patent department

  • Technical background in a field relevant to Tetra Pak (chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering)

  • Full English fluency (written and spoken)

  • High level of commercial awareness and professionalism
