Job Summary

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead and enhance our procurement and supplier management functions in Korea. This role is responsible for maintaining, controlling, and continuously improving sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities. The scope includes both indirect procurement and direct procurement related to processing, packaging, equipment, and project procurement.

This is an individual contributor role based in Seoul, South Korea, reporting to the Procurement Manager for Japan & Korea, who is based in Japan.

What you will do

 

As our Supply Manager you will;

 

  • Develop and implement supplier management strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Source, negotiate, and finalize contracts with local suppliers.
  • Optimize and manage the supplier base in line with strategic goals.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of vendor master data (create, change, block/unblock).
  • Drive supplier performance measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Categorize and classify suppliers to enhance spend visibility and control.
  • Monitor supplier costs and spending; drive savings in alignment with sourcing targets.
  • Ensure effective use of procurement tools such as SAP, Ariba, and Power BI.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with global procurement standards and procedures.
  • Act as the Local Process Driver for Supplier Management.
  • Oversee general purchasing activities and ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Broad experience across multiple categories, with a strong preference for backgrounds in engineering, machinery, tools, parts, or industrial equipment purchasing.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and hands-on experience in contract preparation and management.
  • Strong capabilities in analysis, negotiation, cost evaluation, risk management, and supplier performance tracking.
  • Comfortable using procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English; proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and a confident team player.
