Senior Process Engineer


The Senior Proces Engineer will focus on designing and implementing process solutions for small to large projects in the Cheese and Dairy Powder Industry.  You will work within a project team of multi-disciplined engineers to execute sofisticated dairy solutions.
This position will report to the Manager of Project and Process Engineering.
This position is based in Winsted, MN.
You might be travelling up to 35% of your time.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.

What you will do


As a Senior Process Engineer you will:


  • Develop complete detailed process and instrument drawings.
  • Integrate Tetra Pak’s Industry leading cheese and powder equipment into a plant solution.
  • Ensure system design includes Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems and complies with customer specifications, company standards, as well as State & Federal regulations.
  • Size and specify all system components (pumps, valves, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.) for estimating and procurement purposes.
  • Prepare system estimates and customer proposal documents.
  • Review plant and equipment layouts within 2D and 3D formats.
  • Assist with system installation, commissioning and plant startups as required.
  • Create plant documentation to include system manuals and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Who you are


We believe you have:


  • BS in Chemical, Food, Bioproducts, or Mechanical Engineering required
  • Experience in food & dairy system design a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID) required.
  • Process Design knowledge required.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent people, communication, presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan, delegate, and multi-task.
