We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer, responsible for the design, definition, and quotation of technical solutions for projects ranging from low to high complexity. This role requires strong analytical skills to interpret customer needs and requirements, translating them into comprehensive engineering solutions that foster long-term relationships.
You will manage small and medium-sized projects and lead the process engineering scope in large-scale projects, acting as Process Project Leader and coordinating the work of other engineers. As the main technical reference for process engineering, you will ensure that all design reviews meet established deadlines and quality standards.
In collaboration with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring costs and schedules related to process engineering tasks, ensuring timely delivery of project outcomes. You may also be required to lead activities at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, performance validation, and delivery of technical documentation.
This position is based in Santiago, Chile.
You may travel up to 30% of your time to customer sites.

What you will do
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will:
- Lead and execute project quotation processes for capital investments;
- Develop and apply technical solutions;
- Collaborate in the development and review of reusable solutions;
- Perform mass balance calculations and production time planning for equipment;
- Create and develop process flow diagrams (P&ID) and layouts for the food industry;
- Conduct piping calculations and select process components (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.);
- Lead technical design reviews in collaboration with cross-functional teams;
- Provide support in technical issues and claim resolution, including root cause analysis using the Problem Solving Methodology (PSM);
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and final suppliers;
- Act as a facilitator between stakeholders and other competencies;
- Mentor and train other engineers.
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Food, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields;
- Experience and knowledge in liquid and semi-liquid production technologies;
- At least 5 years of experience in project engineering, project implementation, and technical project management;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Project;
- Advanced English (mandatory);
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time;
- Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills, with a consistent problem-solving mindset.
