Senior Project Engineer


The Senior Project Engineer will do the interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. This opportunity offers unlimited career growth with an industry leader.

You will be based in San Fernando – Buenos Aires - Argentina

You will be travelling up 30%

What you will do


As a Senior Project Engineer you will:


  • Plan installation activities, collaborates with colleagues and customers independent of cultural differences;
  • Design changes and approved variation orders, ability to estimate cost for engineering parts, make technical design according to performance criteria;
  • Act as mentor to colleagues, be recognized as an authority internally as well as another MC and customer international reference for some specific knowledge area, for example Heat exchangers, or Engineering tools, provide engineering support to projects utilizing engineering tools (i.e. Matrix, Process Functional Diagram, Engineering concepts, SkyNet), 
  • Creates process functional specifications for projects, participate in commissioning of systems in conjunction with Automation Engineer, provides guidance, advise to process and automation engineering team;
  • Be part pre-project team and customers tounderstand customer requirements and with the engineering concepts create a customer solution;
  • Executes commissioning of systems in conjunction with automation engineer, provides guidance, advise to process and automation engineering team;
  • Be super user for Matrix, conduct training for customer personnel on process and systems;
  • Drive and secure functionality from PFS documentation and report differences;
  • Mentor/trainer for others and act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak. 

Who you are


We believe you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering or Production Engineering;
  • Minimum seven years of experience as a Process Engineer in food industry;
  • Experience in Milk and Cheese process is a plus;
  • Technical background in relevant area process design. process, commissioning, or functional design;
  • Budget awareness of commissioning scope;
  • Ability to understand and communicate easily with customer;
  • Ability to foresee and mitigate technical difficulties and risks;
  • Ability to build confidence;  
  • Open for travel minimum 30% of the time;
  • English Professional level written and verbal and Spanish Native/ Fluent;
