Job Summary
Within our Sustainability Operation team in Europe, which is part of the global Sustainability Operations that drives Collection & Recycling across 8 regions globally, we are right now looking for a new colleague.
So, if you are passionate about Sustainability, have a results-driven mindset, strong execution skills and want to be part of transforming the value chain across Collection and Recycling, you might be our new team member in Sustainability Operations Europe.
As Sustainability Manager South Europe, you will deploy the company’s collection and recycling strategy at market level, reinforcing the network and ensure the stakeholder engagement to execute the local action plans and managing investment-related projects.
The position reports to the Head of Sustainability South Europe.
Location of the position is Rubiera (RE), Italia
Travelling is required for this role.
What you will do
- Execute collection, sorting and recycling initiatives for post-consumer beverage cartons in SE market countries;
- Follow sorting and recycling investment projects, monitoring project development, installation, commissioning and performance;
- Maintain active relations with local Packaging Recovery Organizations (PROs) in implementing and monitoring shared projects
- Manage recycling data reporting process
- Provide reliable information on collection and recycling in South Europe countries for external and internal stakeholders
- Support market-facing teams in dialogue and requests on sustainability topics
- Participate to external workshops, conferences and exhibitions, creating awareness and engagement on local collection and recycling plan
We believe you have
- University degree in relevant field, eg. Engineering, Environmental Science or Sustainability.
- Strong business acumen and financial understanding and ability and willingness to learn about recycling technologies and operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent team working skills and ability to work across geographies and cross-functional.
- Open to new ideas and updated on latest development externally in own field of expertise.
- Professional fluency in English language both written and verbal is required. Knowlegde of a second language of the Suouth Europe countries, would be a plus.
- Driving license, for external visits.
- Job experience in recycling industry, waste management companies, PROs would be an advantage
As a person you are dynamic and structured, autonomous in decisions and with a positive thinking. You are focused on results and open to changes. You have good communication skills, equally adaptable in English written/verbal communication and presentation situations.
You are good at building and maintain valuable relationships within your field – externally and internally.
Furthermore, you can demonstrate strength in analysing data and formulating recommendations that turns into valuable actions. Your strong project management skills help you to effectively support your team and the organization in achieving defined targets.
