Field Service Engineer

 

We are looking for an open minded, highly motivated person to reinforce their Field Service Operations team. In this role you will be responsible for preventive maintenance of customer equipment: filling machines and distribution equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to increase your knowledge and gain experience in the mechanics, electronics and automation field by performing services on our clients’ sites.

 

You can be home based in Italy, preferably in in the regions of Veneto, Trentino or Emilia Romagna.

You will be travelling up to 90% of your time to our customer sites.

What you will do:

 

As a Field Service Engineer, you will: 

  • Participate in preparing customer site for installation events, assembling machines and conveyers.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities in line with global Tetra Pak standard procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment according to defined expectations.
  • Execute timely reporting of all discovered Technical Issues according to Company processes.
  • Execute installation of relevant rebuilding kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment according to defined expectations.
  • Inform relevant Company staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Company service. Inform about any business opportunity discovered at the customer through the relevant channels.
  • Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done.
  • Execute all work in accordance with Company and Customer safety regulations, requirements, product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.

Who you are:

 

We believe you have:

  • Technical education in automation and/or in electrical, preferable Engineering Bsc Degree 
  • 5+ years of practical experience within mechanical fields. 
  • You should have spent +3 years’ experience in maintenance and/or service work. 
  • You can independently deliver preventive maintenance, installation tasks and rebuilding kit installations. 
  • Experience within PLC systems, servo drives and general automation-mechanic interaction is an advantage.
  • A good command of English, both written and verbal. High level of Italian language knowledge is a must.
