Process Engineer

Tetra Pak Processing delivers future-proof process and automation solutions for the production of liquid, viscous and powdered foods such as milk products, beverages, ice cream or soups and sauces.

The systems and tailor-made service concepts developed by our engineers enable operators to achieve maximum efficiency, plant availability and cost-effectiveness. The variety of services ranges from individual components to ready-to-connect modules and high-tech systems to complete production plants.

 

For projects mainly in Germany as well as in Europe we are looking for a Process Engineer based in Reinbek (near Hamburg). 


 
As a successful candidate for this position you will be developing customized technical solution in compliance to Tetra Pak’s strategy, standards and guidelines. The tools and methods for process engineering and design of plant components are in place. You will be responsible for the implementation of processing solution according to quality and budget targets of the projects. Furthermore, a good understanding of customer demands, business acumen is important to us. 

 

This position will require 30% of the time travelling, mainly in Germany.  
 

What You Will Do

 

In this position as Process Engineer you will be responsible for: 

  • Project implementation according to time, cost and functional targets 
  • Project coordination with the customer and suppliers
  • Cooperation with other departments, interaction with project managers, automation engineers, technical services and sales
  • Process Detail Engineering and dimensioning of modules, plant components and parts
  • Selection and order handling of process equipment
  • Creating project specific documents based on Tetra Pak standards and work with data in other areas in the work process within the customer projects, support mechanical design, test and documentation.
  • Creating process diagrams, P&IDs, machinery layouts with AutoCAD 
  • Creating process functional descriptions
  • Commissioning of installed plants together with automations engineers and/or sub suppliers
  • Ensuring a constructive communication, internally with customers and suppliers
  • Application of Tetra Pak standard processes and tools

Who You Are

 

We believe that you have: 

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or in food processing technology or similar qualification 
  • 2-4 years of experience in the technical field of process engineering preferably in food industry and corresponding components, industrial machines
  • Fluent communication skill in German and very good level of English
  • Confident user of MS Office tools
  • Team player attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset and proactive approach
  • Customer focused attitude with good stakeholder management 
  • Ability to deal with changing and developing business environment
  • Self-motivated and result driven person 
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time
