Job Summary
At Tetra Pak, we commit to making food safe and available everywhere. As a Shift Leader, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence by leading production teams, ensuring workplace safety, maintaining quality standards, and delivering production targets. You will coordinate production, quality, and maintenance activities during your shift while fostering a high-performance, people-focused culture.
What you will do
Safety, Health & Environment
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture across the shop floor.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
- Take immediate action to stop or mitigate any safety risks during the shift.
- Drive employee awareness and accountability for safe working practices.
Quality
- Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor production quality and address deviations promptly.
- Take ownership of quality-related risks and initiate corrective actions when required.
Production Operations
- Deliver production output according to the production plan.
- Ensure adherence to operational standards and procedures.
- Coordinate resources effectively to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
- Maintain accurate shift reporting through established DMS and reporting channels.
Continuous Improvement
- Promote World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and a zero-loss mindset.
- Support Autonomous Maintenance (AM) development within the team.
- Participate in problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 5 Why, 5W1H, 4M, and ABC Analysis.
- Drive performance improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
We believe you have
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2-3 years of people management or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with a high level of accountability.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Empathetic leader with a collaborative mindset.
- Passion for continuous learning and team development.
- Lead by example and foster a positive work environment.
- Manage and develop shift team members through coaching and feedback.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and performance management.
- Organize shift staffing and ensure adequate coverage.
- Develop competencies and career growth opportunities within the team.
