Within Tetra Pak Packaging solutions, Additional materials, we are looking for a Planning and Logistics Assistant Manager. You will be responsible for logistics activities within the factory and drive cost reduction, service levels, effective utilization of warehouse and logistics activities. You will implement global priorities and initiatives in the factory logistics areas
You will report to the Planning & Logistics Manager. This is a permanent position based in Rayong, Thailand

What you will do

 

As a Planning & Logistics Assistant Manager you will be involved in the following areas:

 

Planning & Logistics management

  • Member of Planning & Logistics Management Team
  • Manage Optimal planning of incoming Raw materials
    • Ensure timely availability of Raw materials for production
    • Minimize detention and demurrage cost 
  • Drive Master-Scheduling of Finished goods production:
    • Ensure Contribute to drive factory efficiency through optimal allocation of product per line
    • Participate to the AM (Additional Material) S&OP process
  • Drive Inventory Management:
    • Grant optimal BM (Base Material) inventory levels with daily monitoring
    • Optimal control of finished goods inventory through pacing of production lines and daily control on planned demand and actual deliveries
  • Drive factory daily logistics operations:
    • Ensure goods receipts from suppliers and deliveries to customer: resolve issues that might arise with deliveries
    • Implement and lead a good warehouse, transportation, and logistics resource management in the factory. Ensure correct and timely reporting of KPIs
    • Promote, secure, and improve safety and work conditions in your area
  • Operational logistics optimization
    • lead factory logistics, to optimize internal and outsourced resources to maximize short and midterm capacity utilization and efficient usage of working capital. 
    • Secure stock survival days and proper reorder level management for make to stock products. Secure FIFO from stock and control slow moving stock
    • Secure logistics quality of service towards customers, incl. claim and complaints management / root cause analysis / eradication
  • Strategic logistics management:
    • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive logistics activities at factory level for lowest possible total logistics cost (inbound, outbound, warehousing and customs duties) and improved service level
    • Manage factory logistics suppliers / contracts (e.g., with transportation companies, forwarding agents, warehouses if any) in collaboration with supplier management
    • Support Planning, Customer Service and Design for end-to-end SC (Supply Chain) performance improvement

Projects 

  • Your department is responsible to support global and local projects

WCM (World Class Manufacturing)

  • You will participate in WCM steering and will drive the expansion of WCM to attack Logistics losses (both in costs and service level) impacting the factory, involving other stakeholders as needed (e.g., CSRs (Customer Service Representative), Supplier Management, carriers, …)
  • Promote the use of WCM methodology in the factory and in your team toward 0 planning and logistic related losses

We believe you have

 

  • You have a master’s degree in logistics or supply chain management
  • You have 5 years' experience similar position, preferably in an international company delivering markets worldwide 
  • We expect you to be an excellent communicator, able to manage relations with international market companies, management team, stakeholders, and central functions 
  • You have demonstrated the following Leadership Elements 
    • Need to be Dynamic, Agile, and good at communication   
    • Need to be Productive, focussed on logistics Cost optimization and productive team
    • Need to be Capable, must have eager to learn and develop self and others
  • As a leader you can manage pressure and high demand level from stakeholders and customers. You are clear in defining priorities and setting next steps to maintain your team well being
  • Passionate for new projects and to change from status quo
  • You have strong analytical mindset, easy to understand numbers
  • You are self-driven and good collaborator. 
  • Familiar to SAP 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office 
  • You are fluent in Thai and English both written and spoken
