Job Summary
We are looking for an Upgrades Project Manager, who will be responsible for coordinating Upgrades Project Management across the France and BeNeLux markets, creating customized solutions, and providing technical expertise during the sales and implementation processes by having a deep understanding of the service portfolio, expertise in commercial offers and preparation of quotations including legal terms and conditions. In this role, you will be an individual contributor reporting to the Upgrades Projects Delivery Manager. You will be based in France (Paris), but you may travel up to 50% of your time in France and BeNeLux and other markets as required.
What you will do
As Upgrades Project Manager, you will:
• lead project management for Upgrades by being directly involved in the execution and implementation of the project
• lead the follow-up on the project activities, secure resources and manage the stakeholders such as markets, delivery organizations, external suppliers and customers. Recognize sales in SAP, manage costs and budget
• be responsible for the performance of the Upgrades project. Delivery of the project on time, within budget and according to the expected technical specifications and performance
• be responsible for customer satisfaction in relation to the delivered Upgrades project
• execute handover of the Upgrades project including documentation and adherence to any mandatory requirements
• be responsible for providing technical/engineering and financial expertise in quoting Upgrades solutions that require deep knowledge and for securing that legal and commercial policies are being followed in the quotations
• secure a clear alignment with the involved stakeholders, such as market (sales), sales support, delivery organizations and suppliers, to flawlessly implement the offered solution
• lead project engineering quotation for:
a) customized solutions for Tetra Pak and non-Tetra Pak equipment.
b) “standard” Upgrades for Key Components or installed equipment.
c) customers’ requests for Upgrades developed by Business Units or local quotations (RFQ) with focus on Food Safety, Operational Efficiency or Production Capability.
d) automation revamping or automation of the installed base
e) water, utilities and energy consumption reduction for new projects or current installed base. Lead the engineering process in the implementation phase up to the final acceptance.
• support Services Sales Team along the process by providing technical analysis, value proposition, pricing and margin calculations and customer presentations, according to a pre-defined scope of offering aligned to
customers’ needs
• follow up with sales throughout the process by tracking open proposals and recommendations to capture new business
• support in providing information on product performance, new trends and technologies in the industry, competitor analysis and collection of this information to disperse to the Sales and Portfolio Teams according to the product development needs
• secure self-development in project management skills including execution and implementation of the quoted project, follow-up on the project activities, securing resources, managing stakeholders, recognizing sales in SAP, managing costs and budget if needed
We believe you have
• proven technical and process knowledge
• at least 3 years of experience working in a technical, hands-on position, in technical project management or process/project engineering
• experience in food engineering is a merit
• BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Food Science) or equivalent is an advantage, but not a must
• automation skills are an advantage, but not a must
• able to communicate with customers at all levels and capable of managing their expectations
• high-Level problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• excellent commercial and business skills
• both French and English language skills are a must
