Job Summary
Project Centre Cheese Evaporation and Drying (CED) Europe are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our project management office in France. You will primarily be responsible for leading and delivering projects up to ~20M€ in value, with full accountability for the project result. You will work closely with resources from Project Center CED, other Project Centers, Supplier Management, Automation and Digital, and Business Streams (who manufacture our equipment).
You will also bring your knowledge and experience to support our Pre-Project team in the preparation of quotations and support our Market Operations (Sales) team during the sales phase.
This is a permanent position based in France.
You will however be required to manage projects throughout Europe. You are therefore expected to travel extensively and spend extended time periods working at customer sites together with the project team during the site phase of the project. Travel will be up to 50% of your time on a yearly basis.
What you will do
Lead the project execution team which is responsible for the successful and timely completion of the projects. Deliver projects while maintaining or increasing profitability of the contract by managing the project scope, schedule and reducing risk, while always striving to achieve customer satisfaction as far as is commercially possible. To do this you will:
- Manage and develop key internal and external stakeholder relationships in a collaborative way to successfully deliver projects.
- Define, communicate, and manage project scope, risks, objectives, and deliverables based on contractual agreements and stakeholders’ requirements
- Build a culture that enables the project team to be high performing
- Provide regular project reporting to key stakeholders including tracking of time, cost and quality.
- Ensure suppliers deliver services at best cost and quality.
- Ensure that all site work is carried out in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customers’ Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Drive project productivity through the utilization of global reusable solutions, processes, and tools.
- Prepare and follow up project KPI’s.
We believe you have
- Experience of successfully leading complex Capital Equipment projects
- At least 5 years of work experience within customer projects in the food industry. Experience with cheese and powder projects will be beneficial.
- Fluent in English and French.
- A university degree or higher education certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, Food Engineering or Project management fields.
- PMP (PMI) Certificate or on the way to achieving it.

You demonstrate skills in leadership, communication, contract management, negotiation, change management, technical areas and have the capability to manoeuvre through highly complex political and cultural situations effectively.
You are self-driven, decisive, able to prioritise, lead by example, delegate, motivate and inspire others. Furthermore, you are resilient, adaptable, able to manage conflict and can take timely decisions in what can be a challenging environment.
