Job Summary
We're seeking a passionate Welding Coordinator to join our dynamic team. If you're a master of welding standards (ISO 14731, ISO 15614-1,8, ISO 9606-1, ISO 14732, ISO 3834-2) and have a knack for turning welding challenges into triumphs, this role is perfect for you.
As our Welding Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind our welding operations. Your leadership will inspire our team, your expertise will guide our processes, and your commitment to quality will ensure we deliver exceptional results.
The position is based in Chakan, Pune.
What you will do
As a Welding Coordinator you will :
- Work as Responsible welding coordinator per the guidelines of ISO 14731
- Conduct welding procedure qualification tests (PQR) and prepare welding procedure specifications (WPS) as per ISO 15614-1,8
- Maintain welder and operator qualifications as per ISO 9606-1 & ISO 14732.
- Drive and maintain ISO 3834-2 factory certification.
- Ensure welding operations comply with industry standards, codes, and customer requirements.
- Implement quality control for welding processes and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to welders and welding operators.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions.
- Advise on the selection of welding equipment and materials.
- Conduct training sessions for welders and other staff on proper welding techniques and safety protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest welding technologies and advancements.
- Monitor and report on welding project progress, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all welding activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum Experience of 3-4 years of welding, welding industry standards, weld procedure Development.
- Having IWE /IWS /IWT and ISO 9712 Level 2 in NDT methods such as VT, PT, RT will be considered as an added advantage .
- Must have knowledge and experience working on TIG, MIG, Laser FCAW, orbital TIG welding processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 15614-1, 8, ISO 9606, ISO 14732 ISO 9001 etc.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO, PED).
- Strong problem-solving through WCM and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
