Job Summary

The Planning and Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of planning and warehouse activities. This position is responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating warehouse operations, and ensuring that materials and products are stored and distributed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team to optimize warehouse performance and inventory accuracy.

What you will do

  • Ensure Smooth Goods Receipts and Deliveries: Oversee the receipt of goods from suppliers and their delivery to customers, resolving any issues at the warehouse, port, customs, or with transportation companies. Administer and manage documentation for all goods entering and leaving the factory, including invoices and customs documentation.
  • Lead Resource Management: Implement and oversee efficient warehouse, transportation, and logistics resource management, including any outsourced logistics activities.
  • Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Ensure accurate and timely reporting of KPIs, such as costs, payload, and PDII, for all logistics metrics.
  • Manage the Logistics Team: Actively manage the factory logistics team, focusing on performance management and individual development.
  • Operational Logistics Optimization:
  • Reduce Logistics Losses: Drive the expansion of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles to address logistics losses in both costs and service levels, involving stakeholders like Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), Supplier Management, and carriers.
  • Optimize Resources: Lead efforts to optimize internal and outsourced logistics resources in collaboration with Customer Service and Design teams, maximizing capacity utilization and efficient working capital usage.
  • Manage Inventory: Work with Planning and Customer Service teams to ensure proper inventory management, focusing on inventory reduction and eliminating scrap.
  • Ensure Service Quality: Secure high-quality logistics services for customers, including managing claims and complaints, conducting root cause analysis, and eradicating issues.
  • Tactical Logistics Management:
  • Identify and Implement Improvements: Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive logistics activities at the factory level to achieve the lowest possible total logistics cost (inbound, outbound, warehousing, and customs duties) and enhanced service levels.
  • Manage Suppliers and Contracts: Oversee factory logistics suppliers and contracts in collaboration with the supplier management team, including those with transportation companies, forwarding agents, and warehouses.
  • Support Supply Chain Performance: Collaborate with Planning, Customer Service, and Design teams to improve end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality of the factory’s logistics operations.
     

We believe you have

  • 15+ years of experience in planning and logistics.
  • Proven track record in people management, with substantial experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and drive decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the capacity to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels.
  • Relevant experience in project management and stakeholder management is highly desirable.
