Job Summary
We are looking for a Logistics Engineer (Purchase Experience) who can efficiently Support function with data and Procurement, logistics KPI analysis and project roll out. Identify and highlight key areas for attention and improvement.
This is a permanent role based at Chakan, Pune.
What you will do

Responsible for leading and managing call-off, inbound deliveries, material handling, inventory management, packing and shipping coordination.

Develop, implement, and drive the procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets

Securing OHS, quality, productivity, delivery performance. Compliance leader for Production Centre

Strong people leadership component
-
Lead/participate in WCM, OHS initiatives, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement in line with WCM principles

Ensure that standardized processes and best practice are followed

Ensure seamless and transparent cooperation with Business Streams / Market Company /internal customers for continuous improvement of order flows

Drive people engagement and development

Execute transactional, replenishment activities in line with sourcing strategies. Ensures process compliance (supply chain/Logistics/PtP)
We believe you have
-
BE Production Engineering / Mech Engineer @ 5-10 years of working experience preferably in Purchase Profile,Sourcing in manufacturing industry, food industry or similar industry.

Strong people leadership

Experience in WCM
-
Knowledge of Reading Engineering Drawings and manufacturing processes in areas as sheet metal work, welding, bending, punching, surface treatment, machining, casting, etc.

Exposure to Quality Audit, Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six sigma or the equivalent

Experience in ERP -SAP ECC, MS office

Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements

Costing and Price Negotiation of Non -Standard parts, Fabricated parts
-
Handling of Imports and exports would be added advantage
