Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Process Engineer – Flexo Prepress to optimize and oversee prepress operations for flexographic printing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality print readiness, and compliance with technical and customer specifications.
This role requires close collaboration with Production, Quality, Design, and Technical teams to continuously improve printing performance, reduce waste, and support operational excellence initiatives.

What you will do

As a Process Engineer, you will:

Prepress Process Management
•    Develop, implement, and continuously improve prepress processes for flexographic printing to ensure consistency, efficiency, and reliability.
•    Ensure accurate preparation of printing plates, proofs, and related prepress materials in accordance with production requirements.
•    Analyze prepress workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize process capability.
•    Monitor and maintain prepress standards to support high-quality printing performance.

Quality Assurance & Technical Support
•    Ensure artwork and design files are print-ready and compliant with technical specifications and customer requirements.
•    Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues during the prepress stage.
•    Monitor quality performance during prepress operations and proactively address deviations or defects.
•    Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring issues.
•    Support color consistency and print quality through effective color management and proofing practices.

Equipment & Technology Management
•    Evaluate, maintain, and support calibration activities for prepress equipment and systems.
•    Research and recommend new technologies, tools, or system upgrades to improve efficiency and operational performance.
•    Support implementation of digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives within the prepress function.

Continuous Improvement
•    Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or WCM initiatives.
•    Analyze process efficiency and quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
•    Generate technical reports and provide recommendations to management for operational enhancement.
•    Support standardization and best practice sharing across the organization.

Training & Collaboration
•    Provide technical guidance and training to team members on prepress software, systems, and equipment.
•    Communicate technical requirements, process adjustments, and improvement actions effectively to relevant stakeholders.
•    Work collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth project execution and operational alignment.

We believe you have

Education
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Printing Technology, Graphic Engineering, Packaging Technology, or related field.

Experience
•    Proven experience in flexographic prepress processes within printing or packaging manufacturing industries.
•    Experience in FMCG or packaging materials manufacturing environment is an advantage.
•    Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies and operational excellence concepts.

•    Strong knowledge of flexographic printing and prepress workflows.
•    Proficiency in: 
o    Adobe Creative Suite

o    Color management systems
o    Plate-making and proofing techniques
