Job Summary
Internship Program 2026
The Tetra Pak Internship Program aims to develop students’ potential talent through exposure to real-life situations in the corporate world, offering them opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Our approach prepares new talents to face their upcoming professional challenges. Upon joining our team, the intern will be supported by a network of colleagues and will be trained and evaluated by a mentor, who will guide and support them in their day-to-day activities. Additionally, we have an onboarding program designed to better prepare new interns and to kick-start the development of their full potential.
The position is based in Panama City, Panama.
Tetra Pak does not sponsor work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Sustainability Intern, you will:
- Support the execution of projects within the sustainability area, focused on the recovery of post-consumer Tetra Pak packaging.
- Carry out awareness campaigns for employees on the importance of packaging separation, recycling, and all sustainability-related projects.
- Contact companies dedicated to the collection and sorting of post-consumer packaging and conduct a diagnosis of the current situation of the recycling market in selected countries in the region (based on the information gathered).
- Prepare reports and maintain detailed records of actions and projects.
- Select communication elements and tactics for recycling initiatives together with our clients.
- Organize available recycling-related information and take part in a contract compliance audit exercise.
- Learn how to properly manage and use a budget for recycling initiatives (how to invest efficiently in recycling) and calculate specific metrics.
- Participate in the entire lifecycle of an idea, from conception to request submission, collaboration with other departments, and ultimately seeing the idea become a reality.
- Organize and participate in sustainability and recycling events such as collection drives, recycling days, municipal events, etc.
We believe you have
Bachelor Studies in progress: Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an Environmental focus, Marketing, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
Desired Skills / Knowledge:
- Intermediate to advanced English
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- A strong passion for environmental topics and for driving a shift toward a recycling culture, so that your experience is truly outstanding
- Strong communication and proactive skills; Power BI knowledge will be considered a plus
- Highly organized individuals with a willingness to learn quickly
- Availability to make (accompanied) visits to recyclable material collection centers
- Availability for the internship period: from August 3, 2026, to July 5, 2027
- Expected graduation date: July 2027 or later
- Availability of working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
