Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will drive a quality mindset through the supply chain of Tetra Pak to secure Projects supplier base compliance and performance.                                                                                             

In alignment with Global team, the Supplier Quality Engineer drives projects supplier base improvements and restore supplier base performance                                                                                                      

You will work closely with our suppliers doing technical audits, Inspections and product validation.                                                                                                             

This position will be based in our office in Monte Mor, Brazil and reports to the Processing Supply Management Manager North, Central and South America.            

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute supplier quality activities (Product validation, Inspections and Mitigations);          
  • Perform Supplier audits;                                                             
  • Drive Product Validation capabilities for Projects’ suppliers;                    
  • Lead and support Root Cause Eradication teams based on Problem Solving Methodology;
  • Ensuring that supplier performance is shared with each supplier on a regular basis and that activities are agreed and implemented to close any performance gaps;                            
  • Project Operational quality Planning;                                                           
  • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;               
  • Drive process improvement related to Supplier Quality;                                           
  • Technical aptitude: able to grasp and communicate technical concepts;               
  • Drive for results: pushes self and others for bottom-line results;


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Food Engineer or similar discipline;
  • Experience in similar roles;                                                             
  • Experience in quality management systems (e.g. iso9001) and auditing techniques;        
  • Technical knowledge of sheet metal and welding production processes;
  • Knowledge in Food contact requirements;                                  
  • Knowledge in preventive and detective production quality fundamentals and Problem-solving techniques;
  • Knowledge in inspection techniques and measurement equipment;                      
  • Nice to have knowledge in TPM, Lean, Six sigma - continuous improvement methodologies;
  • You should:
    • Be able to communicate in all levels;
    • Speak Advanced English - mandatory; Spanish is a plus;
    • Have ability to communicate effectively with both suppliers and customers
