Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing category strategies, leading sourcing and negotiation activities, and managing supplier relationships to ensure competitiveness, quality, and sustainable value creation.
You will prepare and lead commercial negotiations based on comprehensive quotation analysis, working closely with technical teams to evaluate both technical and commercial aspects.
You will be based in Monte Mor, Brazil.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Senior Category Buyer you will:
- Lead sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contracting activities aligned with procurement strategies and legal compliance requirements;
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders while driving supplier development and quality improvement initiatives;
- Manage supplier performance, focusing on quality, capacity, delivery reliability, innovation, cost optimization, and value creation;
- Support procurement activities for engineered equipment and services, contributing to strategic supply management and project success;
- Act as a strategic procurement partner throughout customer projects, identifying sourcing opportunities, mitigating risks, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting sales, margin, and profitability goals.
We believe you have
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering;
- Solid experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably involving engineered equipment, industrial services, or capital projects, leading complex negotiations involving high-value contract;
- Experience working in a project environment is considered a strong advantage;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel;
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and procurement platforms such as Ariba;
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a dynamic environment.
- Should also be fluent in speaking and writing English (Spanish is desirable).
