Job Summary

Within Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions we are looking for a Test Engineer for Food Processing equipment,  widening the technical knowledge about verification & validation process, with a deep focus on our food processing equipment.

 

In this role you will be an individual contributor who will take physical tests executing responsibility on the Food Processing Equipment, supporting in this way the development teams evaluating designs, participating to planning of tests, results analysis and reports.

You will also take responsibility in executing corrective and preventive maintenance services and troubleshooting assistance over Food Processing Equipment used for development tests.

This is a permanent position based in Modena (Italy). You will be asked to travel up to 30% of your time to suppliers and customers sites.

 

What you will do

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting test on our food processing equipment making sure that they are error-free and in line with the test specification
  • Being the technical reference for our food processing equipment used for development tests: control its configuration, execute maintenance in between tests, execute troubleshooting in case of issues to restore its functionality
  • Reporting and presenting deviations and results

We believe you have

  • technical education in Mechanical Engineering.
  • spent some years providing mechanical project, installation, commissioning and servicing on equipment and/or processing lines, preferably in Food applications.
  • developed specific competences on separator and homogenizer, preferably skilled on pumps and valves.
  • proven experience of mechanics, fluid-dynamics and sterile systems.
  • good knowledge on liquid food preparation process, electric instrumentation, mainly oriented to the troubleshooting and fault findings.
  • skills on automation with special regard to Siemens platform.
  • good command of computer skills.
  • electrical competence in reading electrical schemes and cabling
  • pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge in reading pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and cabling
  • knowledge of several testing techniques and tools to be able to implement and understand results (physical testing capability)
  • experience of troubleshooting complex issues involving several factors, in a structured way
  • Fluency in Italian and intermediate level of English or fluency in English and intermediate level of Italian
