Job Summary

We are looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing process solutions for small to large projects as part of the pre-projects and projects team. This role offers the opportunity to engage with our wide customer base and deliver top-notch processing solutions. It provides potential for unlimited career growth with a leading company.

The position is full-time and will be based in Melbourne, Australia. There may be a requirement to travel, mainly within Australia, for approximately 35% of your time.

 

What you will do

 As a Process Engineer, you will:

  • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak
  • Work within the internal and external OHS requirements
  • Have a quality mindset and an understanding of the importance of complying with internal quality requirements as well as those under ISO 9001:2015
  • Provide technical support to our sales organization during the pre-project stage
  • Develop technical solutions, project budgets and timelines, interacting with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop technical solutions in our projects and pre-projects.
  • Lead and handle the design specification and dimensioning of process equipment and solutions
  • Travel to the customer site, as needed, for the installation and commissioning phases
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions with customers
  • Provide technical solutions in line with Tetra Pak Strategy, standards, guidelines, tools and methods for process design
  • Validate and review technical solutions for engineering parts.
  • Provide support in issue resolution in projects

We believe you have

  • A university degree or diploma in Mechanical, Chemical or Food Science Engineering
  • 3-5 years of process engineering experience in the food or beverage industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated technical skills, understanding of installation needs and customer operations on site.
  • Project management skills and the self-drive to work autonomously.
  • A genuine interest to work on the different phases of project delivery, from design through to installation and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and result-driven
  • Possess an analytical mindset and proactive approach
  • Ability to work in a team with excellent communication and cooperation skills
