Design & Print Pre-Production Coordinator

Main Purpose of the Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Coordinator in our packaging graphic design department, who will be
primarily responsible for supporting design handling process within Tetra Pak Oceania. You will also manage and perform
conversion of artwork files for different customers within the business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage / Perform conversion of artwork file to proof for Oceania accounts
◦ Pre-flight and complete full design evaluation of customer artwork files
◦ Ensure that our printing specification and Out of Specifications processes are followed and
◦ Understand customer intent and translate this to repro instruction, maximizing print quality
depending on print method, while securing production efficiency. Follow repro submission
◦ Secure design consistency for brand / family designs
◦ Check that repro has completed the job according to all requirements and verify that customer intent is fulfilled
◦ Artwork management for offset and flexography printing technologies
◦ Administrative/accounting duties for print and projects (including but not limited to; raising PO’s,
quoting, reconciling invoices and providing simple reports).
◦ tasks that are required to fulfill and support the print production


2. Support design handling process for Oceania and the region.

• Participate within improvement teams to improve design handling performance
• Support Supply Cain team with graphical knowledge
• Support internal and external design trainings

Education & Experience

• 3 years + experience in an office administration environment
• Basic understanding and / or experience of print management preferred.

• Diploma in Graphic Design or other similar graphic education (preferred, but not essential)
• Knowledge of Graphic arts software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, good team-player with an eye for detail
• Proven ability to multi-task and be agile when responding to internal and external requests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Any mandarin language skills preferred but not essential
• Passion to strengthen or develop knowledge in the print production environment

Annual Earnings

$55,000 to $80,000 depending on experience level
