Senior Tax Analyst

 

Manage compliance with tax laws and regulations of the legal entity, ensure tax returns are submitted accurately and on time, main contact for tax office during tax audits.

 

What you will do

 

1.    As a tax controller for Philippines market:

 

•    Review, approval & submission of VAT and WHT returns. 
•    Review of VAT and WHT GL Accounts account & its reconciliations
•    Ensure VAT and WHT compliance controls and measures are maintained.
•    Prepare annual corporate income calculation and tax return.
•    Preparation & calculation of tax pre-payments
•    Prepare tax provision calculations & deferred tax calculations.
•    Support FI with provision of tax data for statutory reporting.
•    Collect relevant tax data to support transfer pricing model.
•    Support with CbCr reporting (data provision & filing)

2.    As a tax business partner for Philippines market (and regionally):

 

•    Manage overall tax audit & refund process and be key contact for the tax authorities.
•    Be the risk controller for tax in the Philippines, i.e. ensuring tax risk controls and processes are in place, monitored and up to date and are aligned with the local tax E2E processes.
•    Provide regular communication and updates to the key stakeholders (local FD, Group Tax, FinOps) to support strong decision making.
•    Drive local tax projects and support Tax Manager with market level tax projects.
•    Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives for Tetra Pak in Philippines & regionally.
•    Drive improvement of the local tax E2E processes through automations, standardization, harmonization, synergies, etc and with particular focus on using tax technology
•    Assist Tax Manager for MSPI with day-to-day tasks required to implement key projects & CI initiatives, i.e. legislative research, coordinating key meetings, attending webinars, research on tax technology solutions, etc

 

We believe you have

 

•    Degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates with CPA would be preferred. 
•    Holder of a recognized professional tax qualification
•    Minimum 6 years of relevant tax experience. Candidates with Tax Audit handling experience would be preferred.
•    Strong knowledge on Philippines tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, local taxes) 
•    Strong business partnering skills with key stakeholders (e.g. market FD, Group Tax, FinOps, etc) 
•    Organized and with an eye to detail with the ability to spot errors.
•    Self-driven and able to communicate effectively with TaxOps colleagues and key stakeholders.
•    Reliable and able to work independently. 
•    Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and set key priorities.
•    Team player
•     Fast learner, able to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, flexible environment.
•     Ability to document processes and functional specifications.
•     Excellent knowledge of Advanced MS Excel
•     Hands on experience on SAP ERP
