Job Summary
Within Finance & Supplier Management, the Supplier Management team is responsible for sourcing, contracting, and managing the supplier base for Tetra Pak Processing and Packaging Solutions. Our responsibilities include developing purchasing capabilities, managing suppliers directly, and creating global category strategies. Additionally, Supplier Management supports all Processing Solutions & Equipment projects and installations, ensuring the seamless delivery of integrated offerings.
Join Technical Professional Services Category Team within SuM Equipment Projects and Services segment, as Supplier Manager responsible for Maintenance & Repair category. This is a pivotal role in leading Maintenance & Repair Category, where you will be responsible to shape and lead the Category Strategy. We are looking for an experienced Supplier Manager to join Tanks and Vessel Category Team within SuM Equipment Projects and Services segment. This is a pivotal role within the category team, requiring a person who works independently, collaborates closely with business stakeholders, and engages effectively with the Supplier Management community across the global organization. The role includes proactive supplier‑relationship management, with a strong focus on creating value through continuous improvement and a solid understanding of the business. This involves building strong, trust‑based partnerships and driving development initiatives that support both operational excellence and long‑term strategic goals.
The position is temporary and serves as a maternity‑leave replacement. It can be based in multiple location in Europe and the role operates in a global environment.
What you will do
As a Supplier Manager, you will work closely with our business stakeholders, various supplier management functions, and suppliers. You will be asked to:
- Manage the supplier base by applying all Supplier Management processes, ensuring full compliance with Tetra Pak standards and procedures.
- Secure supply continuity and drive performance in quality, delivery, and cost across the entire category.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, effectiveness, and overall value creation.
- Take end‑to‑end responsibility for supplier management activities and ensure early involvement with key business stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted and value‑adding business partner across functions and geographies.
- Conduct industry and supply‑market analyses, including supplier‑base assessments, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead and execute sourcing and contracting activities in line with category strategy, global processes, and procurement policy.
We believe you have
- A university degree in Engineering or Economics, with at least 3 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management within an international, global context.
- Previous experience in a Supplier Management function within the food packaging industry.
- Demonstrated ability to apply strong negotiation skills and innovative approaches to supplier base development.
- A solid level of commercial, relational, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and change management skills.
- Ability to break silos and work effectively as a team player, driving change through informal leadership.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and a strong drive to improve team efficiency and productivity.
