Job Summary

Supplier Management leads and manages the sourcing, contracting and supplier base within Tetra Pak. Our mission is to deliver value, contributing to sustainable business performance through a capable, dynamic and productive Supplier Management team.

Supplier Management is responsible for developing and driving the Tetra Pak global procurement strategy. As an integrated part of that, we are responsible for developing and leading our Category strategies.

We are looking for a person with drive and initiative, who is passionate about developing and leading key relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

In this position, Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for key Suppliers within Supplier Management OEM Automation and work in close collaboration with our business stakeholders and these suppliers to ensure continuously developing better competitiveness and productivity. 
The global OEM Automation team is managing category families such as Plant & Embedded Automation, Sensors & Instruments and Electrical Supply Systems. 

You will be based in Lund or Modena and work in a Global arena. 
The job will require some travelling 10%

What you will do

As a Supplier Manager you will be responsible to develop and drive global supply strategies and interact directly with our main suppliers within those categories. 
You will drive spend and market analysis, manage and execute strategic sourcing projects, support stakeholders in project delivery as well as manage supplier partnerships, contracts and performance, all to support our journey towards a world class procurement organization.

In this role, you will also be responsible for driving supplier selection and development in accordance with strategic needs, risks, cost and quality requirements.

Furthermore, you will manage supplier related activities in alignment with business strategies to secure the achievement of KPI’s related to quality, cost and delivery.

You will focus on:

  • Define, implement and manage supply strategies and plans for the OEM Automation categories in close collaboration with category leaders.
  • Lead and manage sourcing and contracting activities as per strategy and policy via our e-procurement solution, identify and implement cost saving initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and implement a business partnering approach towards key stakeholders.
  • Have an end-to-end Supplier Management process understanding and secure early involvement with business stakeholders.
  • Define and manage performance improvements focusing on strategic needs.
  • Manage relationships and collaborations with suppliers.
  • Work collaboratively as supplier lead with regional and local teams through network meetings sharing/gathering information and developing effective/efficient best practices.
  • Develop and deploy expertise to maximize the potential of the supplier market, to ensure that targets are met and to be a value-adding and trusted business partner.

We believe you have

  • A university degree in Economics, Engineering or Business administration and at least 3 years’ working experience in supplier management/procurement, engineering or other field that could be considered equal, in an international and global context.
  • A good understanding of Industrial Automation and Digitalization will be meriting.
  • Great knowledge of Microsoft Office. knowledge and experience of SAP BO, SAP Ariba and Power Bi.
  • A very good command of English, both written and oral.
  • An open-minded personality with a strong drive for and focus on results.
  • A relationship building personality, for internal as well as external relationships.
  • A way to communicate efficiently and proactively also at senior levels.
  • A personality that is comfortable in challenging the current state and a convincing and engaging personality.
  • An analytical, methodical and efficient way of working.
  • A capacity of remaining calm and focused during peaks and remain comfortable in a constantly changing and developing environment.
