An exciting opportunity opens within Base Materials Ink Technology. We are looking for a Senior Technical Supplier Manager, that will have a key role in managing the main ink suppliers to fulfil the customer expectations today as well as tomorrow.
Within Supplier Management, we secure supply of sustainable, safe, cost-competitive base materials at the required quality level for our factories and customers. We also support and contribute to base material innovation, addressing cost, sustainability and quality challenges.
The position is permanent, based in Lund and will include some travelling (est. 10-15%). You will be part of the Tetra Pak central Supplier Management organization, responsible for main deliverables in ink technical supplier management. You will be reporting to: Manager Foil & Ink Technology.
What you will do
You will be a part of the central competence team responsible for maintaining and developing supplier capabilities and specifications. You will drive and support supplier improvement activities, issue resolution, perform audits and suppliers sourcing and be involved/drive base material qualification projects. Another part is to initiate and define improvements together with suppliers to optimize and deliver on Tetra Pak strategy.
Focus areas:
- Drive qualification projects, ink evaluations and knowledge building activities to enable world class inks
- Ownership of selected suppliers to ensure continuous improvements and compliance with Tetra Pak specifications
- Perform audits at supplier sites
- External and internal support on development and issue resolution
We believe you have
- University degree at Master’s e.g., chemical, material, mechanical or similar
- Solid knowledge about ink and/or additional printing process (flexo, offset, etc.)
- Supplier management knowledge as well as solid project management skills
- Experience from the converting industry for food packaging applications and auditing in this area is a merit
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Able to work independently and within a team across multiple levels and cultures
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to manage internal and external relationships in a cooperative and successful way.
You are analytical, structured, a good communicator and have excellent spoken and written English skills. You are an open person who actively shares knowledge with others while enjoying working with suppliers and using data in daily operations. You deal with ambiguity as well as continuous change in a good way.
