Job Summary

Supplier Management leads and manages the sourcing, contracting and supplier base management of Tetra Pak. The team has full accountability for cost, with an underlying objective to provide World Class Quality & Performance at the lowest cost and with a focus on supply chain agility, sustainability and resilience.

 

We are looking for a Senior Supplier Manager – Category leader for Downstream Equipment and Electrical Cabinets who will have a high level of responsibility in Supplier Management Equipment and Parts, leading the definition and the execution of the procurement category strategies and supplier related activities in alignment with business strategies, to secure the achievement of KPI’s related to quality, cost and delivery and strong focus on securing supply.

 

The position is permanent and preferably based in Lund, Sweden. 

What you will do

As a Senior Supplier Manager you will be responsible for defining the Downstream Equipment and Electrical Cabinets strategies, drive supplier selection and development in accordance with business strategy, risk management, global process and quality requirements. You will also be responsible for conducting benchmarks with new potential suppliers and will be accountable for the cross-functional execution of the supply chain transformation. A key aspect of the role is to ensure the supply of goods to maintain Tetra Pak's business continuity during challenging periods in the market, particularly concerning material cost and availability.

 

You will focus on

  • Develop and implement global procurement category strategies for Downstream Equipment and Electrical Cabinets that align with company objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to support the Globalisation of the current Supplier base securing that Downstream Equipment and Electrical Cabinets will be available at the most competitive conditions in alignment with key business requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis & supply base assessment to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with evolving business needs,
  • Coordinate crisis management activities to secure business continuity.
  • Engage fact-based negotiations with key suppliers by leveraging on should cost analysis and controlling key drivers of cost model of our equipment;
  • Engage in high-level stakeholder management, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Drive negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and service levels to support PLC, planning and capacity requirements, stock management.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key suppliers, managing supplier performance effectively.
  • Manage supplier base by applying all Supplier management processes to secure compliance with Tetra Pak procedures;
  • Implement sustainable procurement practices in line with company’s sustainability goals.
  • Resources/succession planning and secure & develop competencies & capabilities within the organization for current/future needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

We believe you have

We believe you have a university degree in Economics or Engineering and at least 5-10 years’ working experience in supplier management, supplier quality management or account management. You have solid knowledge of SAP, BO, Ariba, PowerBI. You have a deep knowledge of Tetra Pak equipment supply chain as well as SuM Supplier base management policies and procedures. You have a proven track record of developing and executing successful global procurement strategies and extensive experience in high-level stakeholder management and strategic decision-making.


You are expert in Suppliers negotiations, and you have proven track records of Supplier management activities in sourcing, contracting, negotiations and strategy execution. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.


You are an open-minded person with a strong drive for results. Your communication skills are excellent and work cross-functionally at all levels with different stakeholders is natural for you. You are comfortable to challenge the current state and you have the ability to get others to see and believe your points. You are a pragmatic and analytical person who can deal with have ambiguity and continuous change.
