Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Senior Accounting Expert RtR to take responsibility for various client sites across the Nordics, to support with providing accurate information for financial reporting and have good understanding of processes within own area of responsibility. You will need to provide accurate information for financial reporting and have specialised knowledge of all processes and procedures. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices. May act as a lead, providing subject matter guidance to team members.

What you will do

  • Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Monthly book closing activities, coordination and supervision of tasks between other departments and local sites.
  • Ensure that publishing of the reporting packages for consolidation in line with IFRS meet the deadlines
  • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements, prepare complex adhoc information.
  • Reconcile more complex accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules.
  • Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers
  • Drive process improvements and functional KPIs
  • Coach less experienced accounting staff
  • Independently take discussions about standard and escalated issues with external/internal stakeholders
  • Participation in external and internal audits

We believe you have

  • Min. 4 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Advanced English language.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, graphics, macros)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Power BI, Knime or similar will be advantage to have.
  • Strong verbal and written ability to communicate at all levels and to be able to teamwork across countries.
  • Proactive, adaptable, customer focus, team player and organized
  • Detailed & result oriented
