Then we have the perfect position for you! We are looking for an engaged Mechanical Designer that can take a leading role when developing the product of our filling machine equipment. 

We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our Infeed team within the Development & Engineering organization. We are responsible for the development of Tetra Pak´s product portfolio, using a variety of technologies including injection moulding in our filling machines. Your main responsibilities, but not limited to, will be in one of our aseptic tube filled solutions targeting mainly small and medium large customers world wide.

The position is permanent and you will be based in Lund, Sweden, but you will work in a global arena. 

What you will do

As our new Mechanical Designer you will be working with the product development of our filling machine equipment, adding new functionality, improving existing solutions or completely new systems. You will work in a mechatronic environment and with engineers that are among the best in the world in respective areas. You will have the opportunity to work with technical challenges in a creative work environment to develop Tetra Pak´s future Packaging Systems. 

You will focus on:  

  • Design of components and virtual simulations in Creo and other relevant softwares, meeting agreed requirements
  • Interact, drive and cooperate with relevant external partners and suppliers in the area of mechanical design
  • Secure design quality 
  • Involvement in tests in filling machines and test rigs 
  • Lead and participate in development activities throughout the Tetra Pak organization 

We believe you have

  • You have some years of experience from working with mechanical design, preferably also in development activities 
  • You have proven ability to propose and describe new advanced designs
  • You have a good understanding in simulations/virtual development and manufacturing techniques 
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher education within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent will be a plus 
  • Experience in filling machines and robust design methodology will be a plus
  • Knowledge in Creo will be a plus 
  • You are fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing
